In this story Old Man Coyote meets a beautiful widow who he charms into marrying him. But all is not fine in paradise as Old Man Coyote is soon lusting after his stepdaughter. When he can no longer suppress his desires, he devises a plan. He fakes his death during which he ‘foresees’ a yellow-faced stranger who he tells his wife should marry their daughter.
When the disguised Old Man Coyote shows up as foreseen, his former wife soon has him married to her daughter. But she is soon disillusioned with her new ‘son-in-law’ as he is so lazy. Things turn bad for Old Man Coyote when he greedily gorges himself on June berries with dire consequences to follow.
