Big WindUnlost Connection
Big Wind of the Northern Arapaho reminds us that his people have never lost their connection to nature. Elders still retain traditional ecological knowledge centered on the belief that the Arapaho have always been part of the natural world, not separate from it.
On the 150th birthdate of the founding of Yellowstone Nation Park, Big Wind speaks of the importance not only of Yellowstone to his people but also Wyoming’s vast Red Desert and the need to preserve both.
